On like polish. Wears like gel. Off in minutes’.
Shellac Nails 14 day nails, is a new and innovative nail polish, only released to market in 2010.
What is Shellac?
Creative Nail Design has taken the best of gel nails, the best of nail polish and combined them along with new technology to create Shellac. The formula is thin and flexible like polish but provides protection with a high gloss shine that resists dullness and chipping, all without roughing up the nail plate like traditional enhancements. As Shellac is hard it does not scratch or smudge like traditional nail polish.
Shellac is hypoallergenic, has no dry time involved, has a resilient mirror finish and lasts for up to 14 days. Shellac has been developed and tested to withstand the rigours of daily life so there’s no need to worry about soaps and other grooming products affecting the durability of it. Shellac will look as good on day 14 as it did on day one!
Unlike acrylic nails, it will not thin the nails over time so your nails remain healthy and strong underneath the treatment.
How is Shellac applied?
Shellac has to be applied in a salon as it requires the use of specially created UV lamps to cure the polish. First, a base coat is applied followed by two layers of colour and completed with a top coat. After each coat is applied your hand is placed under the UV lamp while your other hand is being painted. No dry time is required and so you need not worry about smudging your nails.
How is Shellac removed?
Shellac removal is easy, taking only ten minutes with no filing required. Shellac must be removed in the salon as traditional nail polish remover is not strong enough. Shellac was developed and tested rigorously to perfect every aspect of the Shellac process, including removal. Thus, Shellac has been formulated to ensure removal does not damage your natural nails.
