Member Update 20/10/2020
In line with the recent government announcement and the decision to place the entire country on Level 5 restrictions we have been left with no choice but to close the club at 9.00pm on Wednesday 21st October for a period of 6 weeks.
The plan is that the club will reopen at 6.00am on Tuesday 2nd December and will return to the level 3 restrictions that we have been operating with for the past number of weeks. During the 6 week period that we are closed all memberships both upfront and dd memberships will automatically be frozen and will reactivate on the 2nd December.
We would like to thank you our members for being so understanding and supportive since we reopened in July and it was great to see so many of you back in the gym and in the pool looking after your physical and mental health and well-being.
With regard to the remaining swimming lessons we plan to start these back on Monday 7th December and have 2 weeks of lessons before we stop for the Christmas Break.
The club will not be staffed during the lock down period but the club emails and phones will be checked every few days so please do not panic if you email us or call and leave a message and you do not receive a response straight away. If you have a question or query please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay safe and healthy and we will see you in the club soon.
The Glenview Leisure Club Team
Your health & wellness is our top priority in the Glenview Health & Leisure Club.
In light of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) health concerns, and following the guidance of the HSE and NPHET, we have stepped up efforts to maintain an effective sanitising regime and to encourage all visitors to continue to enjoy our facilities while supporting our health & safety procedures.

One way system with people required to stay to their left when entering and exiting the club
Members must adhere to social distancing upon entry to the club
Class numbers limited to 6 people
All sessions must be pre-booked to ensure we do not exceed the maximum numbers in each rea and to ensure all members have an opportunity to use the club
Booking system for use of the facility in either 60 minute or 90 minute slots
Sanitation & Signage:
Increased number of hand sanitisation stations at entrance and exit points and all around the club
Signage to raise awareness of hand washing, hand sanitisation and social distancing
Increased frequency and ongoing sanitation of all areas in particular; gym equipment and high touch points such as door handles etc.
Glenview Covid Committee:
A member of staff from the leisure club has been appointed to the Covid-19 committee to ensure all procedures are followed by members and staff at all times
All people using the leisure club will be subject to a temperature check before entry to the club
Members must get checked in by staff (essential for contact tracing)
Changing rooms only to be used for members post swim
Gym users are asked to come ready and leave the facility immediately after use (showers not available for gym goers in phase one)
We would like to ask our members for your support in the following precautions:
Please enter one by one at all times to adhere to social distancing guidelines
Please use hand sanitisers on entering and exiting the building
Please wipe down machines and weights after personal use
Water fountains will not be operational in phase one opening
Please use the soap provided when washing your hands in the bathrooms
When coughing, please do so into your elbow and wash your hands afterwards and kindly avoid leaving any tissues or other items behind unnecessarily
Ensure you sanitize all equipment pre and post usage
If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms you should follow the HSE guidance and contact your GP and implement self-isolation until you are given the all clear.
Lastly, we reassure you that we are doing everything we can to provide our customers and staff with the safest environment we possibly can in the circumstances.
